Attala and Leake counties are under a winter storm warning until noon Sunday as bands of heavy snow move through central Mississippi. Some parts of Rankin and Madison counties have reported in excess of four inches. The National Weather Service says across mainly southern Attala and western Leake counties, snow could cover bridges and some roads, leading to hazardous driving conditions.
