A fire broke out on Attala Rd. 5047 Wednesday night around 8:20 p.m. Attala County Fire Department (ACFD), Zama Fire Volunteers, and Providence Volunteers all responded.

Firefighters arrived to find a utility shed engulfed in flames and an area of woods in fire. The Mississippi Forestry Commission was called to assist in getting the woods fire under control.

ACFD Chief, Tim Cox says the fire originated from a controlled burn conducted by the property owner the day before. The fire unexpectedly reignited due to windy conditions.
