Brian Townsend
I was born and raised in Attala County. My grandfather, Lamar Townsend, founded Townsend’s Wrecker Service and Repair in the 70s as a way to serve his community. He instilled the value and importance of a strong community to my father, Danny Townsend, and myself. As a father of two children, I have passed these same values to Brianna and Matthew. I have strived to serve the community in every aspect that I could, which is why I decided to start work with the Attala County Sheriff’s Office in 2012. When the opportunity arose, I accepted a full-time position and completed my full-time certification in 2018. I am married to Liz Townsend, who is a full-time respiratory therapist at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Attala.
