Chancery Clerk
I, Scott Coleman, humbly ask you to elect me your new Attala County Chancery Clerk. I am the son of Junior and Charlotte Coleman. I am happily married for 21 yrs to Charlene Coleman. We have two daughters and four grandchildren. We are active members of Williamsville Baptist Church, and serve in the youth department, nursery, and as door holders. I am an active Deacon and serve on the Finance Committee.
I am a 1988 alumni of Kosciusko High School and a 1990 Alumni of Holmes Community College where I obtained a Degree in Business Administration and Accounting.
After graduation, I furthered my education through multiple Business, EMS, Law Enforcement and Military training curricula. I have served the citizens of this great state and community for over 30 years as a successful Business Owner, Business Manager and Volunteer. I have served on the City of Kosciusko’s Planning and Zoning Board, Chaired committees for the KADC currently known as KAP (Kosciusko Attala Partnership), previous member of the Kosciusko Lions Club, and MS Home Builders Association.
I am currently the General Manager of HomeFront Home Improvement Center in Carthage. I currently serve the MS Military Department holding the rank of First Lieutenant and position of Commander Alpha Company and Acting Commander of 120th Support Battalion. I also serve as the Secretary for the MS State Guard Association Incorporated. I am an active member of the State Guard Association of The U.S., and a member of the American Legion Post 44.
As your Chancery Clerk, my staff and I will serve each of you Professionally and Respectfully. We will maintain transparency through positive and responsible leadership. I will be proactive, not reactive to the needs of the citizens of Attala County in order to bring positive change in our communities throughout our great county!
