Reminder: Attala County lifts burn ban

The burn ban in Attala County has been lifted.That decision was announced during Monday's meeting of the Attala County Board of Supervisors.Even though the ban is lifted, Attala Central Fire Chief Tim Cox urges those that are burning to not leave their fire unattended.

Community Thanksgiving service planned for November 19

The annual Kosciusko/Attala County Community Thanksgiving Service will be held Sunday, Nov. 19. The service will begin at 6:00 pm at the Skipworth Performing Arts Center. Choir practice for anyone wishing to participate will begin at 4:00 pm.

Supervisor candidate withdraws from November election

A candidate for supervisor in Attala County has withdrawn from the November election.Robert Ellis, Independent candidate for District 1, said in a Facebook post that he has withdrawn his candidacy for the position.Ellis, who is currently Ward 3 Alderman for the City of Kosciusko.... Read More.
