The Kosciusko Whippets won 8-2 on Wednesday. The game had been scheduled for Friday but had been moved up because of the expectation of inclement weather.
The Louisville Wildcats came to Kosciusko Wednesday afternoon still smarting from the 17-5 loss to the Whippets on Tuesday. After an initial couple runs from the Whippets, the boys from Winston County tied the game in the third inning. But the Whippets quickly responded with an amazing six runs in the bottom of the third. After that, the game seemed to go quick and fierce on both sides, but the score remained 8-2 for the rest of the evening.
El’Darius Roby was named the Autumn Ridge Player of the Game.
The Whippets next travel to Morton, on Saturday, where they will play Morton and then Newton County.
The next Boswell Media Sports broadcast of Kosciusko baseball will be Tuesday, April 9, when the Whippets host the New Hope Trojans.
