Whippets Fall to Trojans in Region Match Up

In a game delayed from Tuesday, the Kosciusko Whippets lost to the New Hope Trojans Wednesday afternoon, 5-1.

Both teams came into this game with a 6-0 record in regional play.  So the stakes were incredibly high.  The play was a fierce contest between the two teams, each knowing that a win guaranteed, at least, a co-lead for first in the region.  But, in the end, there can be only one.  New Hope pulled away and came away with the win.

The Whippets’ season-finale game scheduled for Friday has been moved up to Thursday because of expectation of precipitation.  The Whippets travel to New Hope in Lowndes County tomorrow evening hoping to even the score after Wednesday’s disappointment.

Evan Scott was named the Autumn Ridge Player of the Game.

This final game of the regular season will be available on breezynews.com and the BreezyNews app.
