Firefighters from the Attala County Fire Department and Ethel Volunteer Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire on the Natchez Trace Parkway near the Ethel exit Friday afternoon.
The driver of the truck reportedly noticed fire coming from the rear of the vehicle and was able to pull over and exit to safety.
The truck was completely engulfed in flames when fire crews arrived at the scene. Firefighters worked quickly to control the blaze and successfully extinguished the fire.
No injuries were reported, and according to Attala County Fire Chief Tim Cox the cause of the fire is currently unknown.
