July 14, 2025 at 12:11 AMThere was a wreck in Ethel Friday night. Mailboxes torn down, plastic car part in my neighbor’s yard. 3 post hit and destroyed then hit a light pole and a parked truck. People off Ethel, heard no sirens, no ambulances, no fire trucks. We all woke up to a mess. And nothing was reported about it. People fly through Ethel, with no law enforcement. We are thankfully the young man was not hurt. But mailboxes, post and concrete is not cheap. And for some reason its all a hush, hush thing. I had to call the law Saturday morning to see a wreck was reported. She said it was. If something is not done about the way people drive through here. Someone is going to have a vehicle in their house, or worst someone’s life taken. Put speed b**ps in. It is state a state hwy but turns into Ethel. When you come into Ethel there is a tiny sign that says Ethel cities limits. Ethel has to stand up and speak up or nothing will be done in this town.

July 14, 2025 at 3:12 PMEthel is horrible! There are multiple spots like Ethel in the county that people are just speeding down dirt roads, and it’s ridiculous!!! There needs to be speed traps setup all throughout the county, like Ethel and these little dirt roads that are out in the county. Nothing is ever done about these big trucks that come thru speeding thru these roads. I’ve had several almost hit my cats and I swear it’s ridiculous!
