ETHEL, Miss. — Ethel High School has recognized Coach Jermaine Liggins as the Teacher of the Month for October, honoring his dedication to students, leadership both in and out of the classroom, and commitment to professional growth.
Coach Liggins wears many hats at Ethel High. In addition to teaching CCR (College and Career Readiness), STEM, and Art, he also serves as a baseball coach and drives a daily bus route.
Currently, Liggins is pursuing his specialist degree in administration, furthering his education and preparing for future leadership opportunities within the district.
Principal Culley Newman described Coach Liggins as an inspiring and compassionate educator. “Coach Liggins is one of the most encouraging and thoughtful people I know,” one coworker shared. “It is a privilege to work with him.”
