KOSCIUSKO, Miss.–When someone spotted a lot of smoke near the Natchez Trace on Hwy. 12 Friday evening they called for firefighters.
When Attala County firefighters responded they were able to confirm about 5:30 p.m. that it was a controlled burm.
It was making a lot of smoke, causing concern by the person who called it in.
The firefighters who were on the scene said several large brush piled were being burned, causing the highly visible smoke plumes.
