Multiple Kosciusko Whippets football players will play in all-star games this weekend.
Receiver Jaybre Pierce, corner back Adarius Bonslater, safety Keith Lay, linebacker Rowdy Rone and defensive lineman Brayden McNeal will represent Kosciusko in the Magnolia Sports Association All-Star weekend Sunday, Dec. 28 in Decatur.
Pierce, Bonslater, and Lay will play in the association’s Senior Bowl, while Rone and McNeal will suit up in the Super Sophomore Game.
Pierece was one of the leading receivers the Whippets in 2025, reeling in 35 catches for 592 yards and 5 touchdowns.
Bonsalter, Lay, Rone and McNeal were key contributors to the Whippets 2025 defense.
Lay was a 3-year starter for the Whippets. In his senior season, he recorded 59 tackles, 8 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, and had 1 interception.
Bonsalter started at cornerback this season for Kosciusko, finishing the season with 46 tackles and 1 interception.
Rone played in all 15 games and recorded 98 tackles, which was 2nd on the team.
McNeal saw action in 7 games this season and recorded 14 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, and recovered two fumbles.
The Super Sophomore Game, along with the Senior Bowl, will be played at East Central Community College, with the Super Sophomore game kicking off at noon.
Tickets to the game are $15 and kids 5 and under get in for free.
