A familiar name to Kosciusko sports fans will be in the spotlight this spring, as Terry Seals Jr. has been selected for induction into the Holmes Community College Sports Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2026.
Seals, a Kosciusko native, will be honored during a special banquet on Thursday, April 9, at 6 p.m. inside Frank Branch Coliseum on the Goodman campus. The event will cap a full day of Hall of Fame celebrations.
Seals’ football journey began in Kosciusko, where he played on the 1977 Kosciusko Whippets team that finished a perfect 12–0 season, cementing its place as one of the most memorable teams in school history. He continued his athletic career at Holmes Community College, playing under coaches Quinby Morgan and A.J. Kilpatrick, before transferring to Delta State University, where he played offensive line for the Statesmen.
Following his college career, Seals earned an opportunity to take his game to the professional level, participating in a tryout camp with the Houston Oilers in 1984.
Seals will be inducted alongside five other standout athletes and contributors: Neil Hitchcock, Charlie Smith, Daryl Macon, Chelsea Raines-Germany, and Rashad Williams.
Hall of Fame festivities will include a reception for inductees, tours of athletic facilities, and visits with current Holmes student-athletes before the evening banquet.
Tickets to the banquet are $40 and are available through the Holmes Alumni online community at holmesccalumni.360alumni.com. Alumni, family members, and fans are encouraged to attend.
