Kosciusko Boys’ Basketball Falls to Morton in Semi-Final Matchup

The Kosciusko Whippets boys’ basketball team played the Morton Panthers Tuesday in the 4A state  championship semi-finals.

At the end of the first quarter, Kosciusko led 8-6.  At the half, Kosciusko trailed 20-14.  Morton led 33-26 after three.  With a buzzer-beating 40+ foot heave, the Whippets tied at 44 to force overtime!

Morton triumphed 51-47 in overtime.  The Kosciusko Whippets end their season, having gone the furthest they ever have in franchise history!

Cory Guyton, Jr., Amarion Riley, Jaybre Riley, JT Herron, William Rankin, Jeremiah Wynter, and Mylan Johnson was named the Player of the Game.
