KOSCIUSKO, Miss.–The suspect in the shooting from Sunday afternoon is dead. The situation is over.

Attala Co Sheriff Curtis Poipe confirmed to Boswell Media about 1 this morning that Chris Hughes, the man who was holding Attala County deputies off after they say he shot and killed two people Sunday afternoon is dead.
The situation is over, at least that part of it.
When asked how that went down, Sheriff Pope said “This was not an officer-involved anything” and left it at that.
He promised more details about what happened are coming today.
The identities of the two people killed have still not been made public by the Attala County Coroner’s office.
The situation began about 1:50 p.m. on Attala Rd. 1107 when someone called 911 and reported a man had been shot and was laying in the road. When that man was taken to Baptist Attala ER, a large group of people gathered there.
While Kosciusko Police helped contain that situation, deputies were looking for Hughes and that search took several hours until he was located.

Sad. Also Breezy needs an editor to proofread the stories a bit closer.

    Prayers for the families involved.
