A shooting was reported on Westwood Dr. in Kosciusko on Sunday, Sept. 13. According to police scanner traffic, Kosciusko-Attala Communications received multiple calls reporting several shots were fired in the area at approximately 12:37 a.m.
Scanner traffic indicated that a person believed to be involved in the shooting may have been shot and was fleeing the area from Westwood Dr. toward Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr.
Attala Deputies were requested to assist Kosciusko Police with the incident and in locating possible suspects. Radio traffic indicated there may have been as many as four people involved.
At least one vehicle was towed from the area, and at least one person was reportedly detained. It is unclear at this time whether any arrests were made or whether anyone was actually injured.
