KOSCIUSKO, Miss.–When someone called police to report gunshots Friday night at Yorkshire Apartments they said it was after the power had gone out. When Kosciusko Police arrived to investigate they discovered the power out in the area.
That was just after 8:30 p.m.
Power was out at Westwodd Apartments, Yorkshire Apartments and on at least part of Martin Luther King Dr.
The cause of the outage was likely connected with the storm. No one was discovered to have been shooting, though.
Power was also reported out on Hwy. 12, with a power line arcing in front of Holt’s Body Shop.
Tree Down on Valley Rd.
In a separate incident, a tree was reported down on Valley Rd. during the same hour that the complexes went dark. Kosciusko Police stayed on the scene while the tree was claeared. It was blocking the entire roadway.
Power Line Fire
Kosciusko Police and firefighters responded to a power line fire on Hillcrest Dr. just after 10 p.m.
