The Kosciusko Fire Department and Kosciusko Police Department responded to reports of a fire Sunday night around 9:40 p.m. Crews located a house fire near the corner of South East Street and Church Street. An adjacent structure, St. Paul M.B. Church, also caught on fire.

KFD Chief Duane Burdine says law enforcement was very helpful in battling the fires as they helped move the heavy supply line to the hydrant.

No one was inside the home or the church at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported. The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
