Traffic Stop in Kosciusko Leads to Drug Trafficking Charges

An Attala County man was arrested on multiple charges following a traffic stop conducted by Kosciusko Police on Monday, May 11.

Officer Braxton Goza stopped a vehicle for improper equipment and detained the driver after discovering the individual was driving with a suspended license. While the subject was in custody, officers reportedly observed drugs in plain sight inside the vehicle.

Authorities confiscated a large quantity of cocaine and crack cocaine as well as a small amount of marijuana.

Fabio Hazley

Fabio Hazley, 32, of Attala County, was arrested and charged with improper equipment, driving with a suspended license, no proof of insurance, marijuana in a vehicle, trafficking of a controlled substance, and possession of a controlled substance.

Hazley is being held at the Leake County Correctional Facility without bond.
