The Kosciusko Whippets opened the 2026 high school football season hosting the Neshoba Central Rockets.
The home team got first blood with a touchdown late in the first quarter. 7-0, first quarter. Adding two touchdowns in the second quarter and the Rockets two of their own, Kosciusko led 21-14 at the half.
Kosciusko came out of the half-time break on fire, quickly making the third-quarter score 49-28. The Whippets finish with the win, 55-35.
Jontavius Roundtree was named the Autumn Ridge Player of the Game. Now, that’s something to smile about!
