The Kosciusko Whippets opened the 2026 high school football season hosting the Neshoba Central Rockets.
The home team got first blood with a touchdown late in the first quarter. 7-0, first quarter. Adding two touchdowns in the second quarter and the Rockets two of their own, Kosciusko led 21-14 at the half.
Kosciusko came out of the half-time break on fire, quickly making the third-quarter score 49-28. The Whippets finish with the win, 55-35.
Jontavius Roundtree was named the Autumn Ridge Player of the Game. Now, that’s something to smile about!
Be sure to come back next week when the Whippets travel to Florence to take on the Eagles. All Kosciusko Whippets football broadcasts are available on Breezy 103, breezynews.com, the Breezy 103 app, and on YouTube on the Boswell Media Sports Breezy 103 channel.
