KOSCIUSKO, Miss.–At least two disturbance calls came in to Kosciusko Police Friday night at the Cannonade Apartments in Kosciusko. One of the calls had to do with a downstairs neighbor saying their upstairs neighbor was beating on their door and wouldn’t go away. Another call about an hour later was about a lot of noise in the parking lot.
At the Glendale Apartments, just before midnight, an ambulance was called, as well as police, for a person who had a head would, possibly a laceration. The person said they had been assaulted somewhere else. That person was taken to the hospital.
Just before midnight police were called to Fairground St., where a person said at first they heard gunshots. As police were on their way, someone called and said that someone in a black Chrysler had shot fireworks off in their yard. Police were searching for the Chrysler.
About 2:30 a.m. Saturday, Attala deputies and an ambulance were called to Attala Rd. 4101, in the southwest corner of the county, near the Holmes County line, for an assault and a resulting panic attack. An ambulance was also called. Deputies were there for over an hour. But, it was unclear if anyone was taken to the hospital.
