SALLIS, Miss.–A grass fire was reported Saturday afternoon in the Sallis area on Hwy. 14 west.
That call came in about 3:20 p.m.
When firefighters arrived they determined about a quarter acre was burning and immediately began efforts to get the fire out.
The fire was reported out, but with some smoke still visible at about 4:10 p.m.
