ETHEL, Miss.–A hay field was reported on fire Friday night near Ethel.
Ethel volunteer firefighters, along with firefighters from the Central and Providenbce stations were called to Attala Rd. 5210 at 7:35 p.m.
Firefifghters reported back that the fire was way off in the woods and requested that the Mississippi Forestry Commission be notified.
The fire was estimated to involve between 130 to 150 acres of field.
The fire was under control and was turned over to the Forestry Commission just before 10 p.m.
