The American Legion of Attala County is looking for new members and volunteers. The members support everything about Veterans. They donate and serve at the Veterans Home, and they provide for veterans in need. Three different categories make up the American Legion. A member of the American Legion has actively served in the Armed Forces. The Sons of the American Legion is a male that has a relative (father, grandfather, and so on) who served in the Armed Forces. The Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion are the daughters and sisters, or wives of the men or woman that have served. The American Legion is located at the old skating rink off Industrial Park Road. They meet every third Thursday of the month. At each meeting, there is a meal, a guest speaker, and business of the American Legion is discussed.
