The Attala County Sheriff’s Office has welcomed a new deputy to its ranks, marking a historic milestone for the department.
Kaitlin Wilkerson has been hired as the first full-time female deputy in the history of the Attala County Sheriff’s Office.
Wilkerson started out in dispatch, but the goal was always to work in law enforcement. She recently made the transition to deputy, and looks forward to helping make Attala County a safer place.
Sheriff Curtis Pope, along with deputies and administrative staff, said they are excited to have Wilkerson join the team.
