The City of Kosciusko is making upgrades to its sewer system.
During this week’s meeting, aldermen approved the purchase of a new sewer pump.
That pump will be placed near Veterans Memorial Drive, between Walmart and where a new car wash is being built.
Mayor Tim Kyle said the additional pump will be needed due to the runoff from the car wash, as well as when it rains.
“We really need a second pump at that location, because that line completely fills up, “said Kyle. “About two weeks ago, when we had those super heavy rains, those lines were full.”
