Nonprofits, municipal leaders, and community organizers across central and southwest Mississippi can now apply for funding through the Community Foundation for Mississippi’s (CFM) annual Community Impact Project Grants.
Starting Aug. 1, 2026, eligible organizations can request up to $5,000 to launch or expand local initiatives.

Key Focus Areas
CFM is seeking innovative, project-specific proposals in one of three core categories:

Placemaking: Projects aimed at transforming and rejuvenating public spaces.

Children and Families: New ideas and programs designed to support local youth and families.

Community Partnerships: Collaborative efforts bringing together cross-sector partners for positive local change.

Who Is Eligible?
To qualify, projects must directly serve communities in one of CFM’s 22 covered counties:
Adams, Attala, Amite, Claiborne, Copiah, Franklin, Hinds, Holmes, Jefferson, Lawrence, Leake, Lincoln, Madison, Pike, Rankin, Scott, Simpson, Smith, Walthall, Warren, Wilkinson, Yazoo.
- Registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations
- Groups operating under a registered 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor
- Governmental entities (e.g., municipalities, town councils)
