Damaging winds downed trees and power lines on and around the Natchez Trace Parkway Tuesday morning.
A post from the Natchez Trace Parkway Facebook page says downed trees blocked traffic on the parkway around mile post 138.
Maintenance crews from Kosciusko and Ridgeland were called out to help clear the roads while Park Rangers and Leake County Deputies diverted traffic.
Officials are urging drivers to continue to watch for falling trees due to very wet ground on and around the parkway.
