Around 12:00 AM on Wednesday morning, the Attala County Sheriff’s Office received a notification of a tree that fell on the Natchez Trace between mile markers 163 and 164. They were also notified of a driver who ran into the tree while it was downed.
The driver’s husband reportedly came to try removing the vehicle from the tree but ended up leaving with the driver in his own vehicle, intending to come back later. No injuries were reported, and a wrecker was called to remove the tree.
