A dump truck hit the highway 43 bridge on the Natchez Trace this morning. According to an eyewitness, the impact tore the dump body from the truck. Parkway officials say the bridge is currently closed for inspection. Whether or not the bridge will be closed for an extended period and traffic rerouted is unknown at this time. The extent of injuries is also unknown. The bridge is located at mile marker 115.
