Escaped Neshoba County inmate apprehended in Attala County

A man that escaped the Neshoba County Sheriff’s Department custody on Monday is back in custody.

Sheriff Tommy Waddell says Josh Andrews, was on supervised yard duty with several other inmates when he jumped a fence and ran into the woods near the jailhouse Monday afternoon.

Andrews, who was serving time for grand larceny, was picked up in Attala County Monday night and transported back to the Neshoba County Jail.
