A fatal crash occurred Wednesday morning, January 28, 2026, on Hwy 19 in the Zama community. According to officials, the single-vehicle crash happened around 8:45 a.m.
The driver sustained critical injuries and was transported by ambulance to Baptist Attala Emergency Department, where she was later pronounced deceased.
Attala County Coroner Sam Bell has identified her as 55-year-old Lisa Powell Moore of Thomastown.
The Mississippi Hwy Patrol is in charge of investigating the cause of the crash.
Lisa Powell Moore was a beloved employee of Boswell Media, parent company of Breezy News, Kicks96 News, and radio stations Kicks 96.7, Cruisin 98.3, and Breezy 103.7.
