It’s been a forgotten word in our weather forecasts in recent weeks. But rain is possible across Mississippi this weekend. Unfortunately, the best chance for those badly-needed showers may coincide with Halloween trick or treating. Currently, the National Weather Service is predicting a 30 per cent rain chance on Saturday, 60 per cent Saturday night and 50 per cent on Sunday in Kosciusko and Carthage. It’s pretty much the same in other parts of the local area, except the chance of rain in Durant is 40 per cent on Saturday and it’s 50 per cent Saturday night in Philadelphia.
Before the rain arrives, though, our dry weather will continue along with an elevated threat of wildfires.
