Former Holmes Community College standout Markel Bell will make his first NFL start today at right tackle for the Philadelphia Eagles.
The rookie third-round pick gets the nod following injuries to starting right tackle Lane Johnson and backup Fred Johnson.
Before earning third-team All-ACC honors at the University of Miami, where he started 16 games without allowing a sack, the 6-foot-9, 346-pound lineman developed into the nation’s top junior college prospect while playing in Goodman for the Bulldogs.
Bell was selected 68th overall by Philadelphia in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Today, he anchors the edge in his professional debut.
