The Holmes Community Bulldogs played host to the Coahoma Community College Tigers from Clarksdale tonight in Goodman. Both teams entered tonight’s game 0-3 and hoping to begin their North Division play with a win. The Bulldogs enjoyed a 1 point lead, 14-13 after the opening quarter but were trailing by 2 points at halftime, 23-21. In the second half, the Bulldogs were trailing the Tigers by 12 points in the 4th quarter but the Bulldogs rallied with two touchdowns and a two point conversion to win the game by 3 points, 36-33. George Wilcox was named tonight’s Sullivan’s Drugs and Gifts player of the game. Next Thursday the Bulldogs will host Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. Kickoff at 6:30pm with the Boswell Media Sports pregame show on the air on Breezy 103.7 at 6:00pm.
