A Holmes Community College football player has been named a junior college All-American.
Deion Smith was named 1st Team All-American by the National Junior College Association (NJCAA).
Smith, a sophomore wide receiver from Jackson, finished the season as the leading receiver in the state and in the NJCAA. He had 48 receptions for 1,063 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Smith is scheduled to sign Wednesday to continue his career at Ole Miss.
