The Mississippi Association of Community Colleges (MACC) has voted to postpone the start of football season until Oct. 1.
The MACJC made the announcement Friday in a press release.
Schools will play a six-game division schedule with the playoffs remaining unchanged.
Under this new schedule, Holmes would open the season Thursday, Oct. 1 vs East Mississippi.
