High school volleyball returns to Attala County Friday (July 31) night as Kosciusko and Ethel meet to open the 2026 season.
The Lady Whippets and Lady Tigers will face off at Jerrelyn Jackson Gymnasium on the campus of Kosciusko High School in the season opener for both teams.
Ethel advanced to the MHSAA Class 1A State Championship match after winning the Region 5-1A title and finishing the regular season on a 27-match winning streak.
Kosciusko also reached the postseason last year, earning a playoff berth in Class 4A.
The varsity squads will face off at 6:30 pm with junior high and junior varsity teams playing prior.
