Students from the Ed Prep, Health Science, and Multimedia programs at the Kosciusko-Attala CTC spent Wednesday, Nov. 6, volunteering their time and talents to help prepare downtown Kosciusko for the annual Kosy Lights.

Ed Prep Instructor Tessa Horn praised the students’ dedication and enthusiasm, noting the value of the experience both for the community and for the students themselves.

“Volunteering with Kosy Lights not only spreads holiday cheer, but it also gives our students meaningful opportunities to connect with local leaders, practice teamwork, and contribute to something that brings joy to the entire community,” Horn said.

Kosy Lights coordinator Pati Edwards expressed her gratitude for the students’ support, sharing that their help “made a tremendous difference” in preparing the decorations and ensuring the event remained a memorable experience for all visitors.

The volunteer effort reflects the CTC’s ongoing commitment to community engagement and service learning. Through hands-on, real-world experiences like this one, students gain valuable skills, strengthen community relationships, and develop a deeper appreciation for volunteering.

The Kosciusko-Attala CTC enjoys partnering with community organizations and providing students with opportunities to serve, lead, learn, and grow.
