Students from the Kosciusko-Attala Career and Technical Center’s Educator Preparation program earned statewide recognition this week at the Educators Rising–Mississippi State Conference, held February 2–4 at the University of Southern Mississippi.
The Kosciusko-Attala CTC chapter was presented with the 2025–2026 Community Service Award, honoring the group’s commitment to service and positive community impact.
Several students also received individual honors. Juniors Kamryn Busbea, Emma Griffin, and Lauren Truong, along with senior Addyson Rawson, were inducted into the Educators Rising Honor Society, recognizing their academic achievement and dedication to pursuing careers in education.
Students competed in multiple education-based events, earning several top finishes. Addyson Rawson placed third in Classroom Diorama, while Aubree Wilkerson earned second place in Junior Varsity Lesson Planning and Delivering – Arts. The team of Emma Griffin and Lauren Truong also captured seventh place in Varsity Public Service Announcement – Teacher Recruitment.
School leaders say the strong showing highlights the program’s focus on preparing future educators through hands-on learning, leadership development, and community involvement.
