Kosciusko Defeats Houston for First Two Wins of Regional Play

Thursday evening, the Kosciusko Whippets traveled to Holmes Community College, as a neutral site, to finish their weather-delayed game against the Houston Hilltoppers.  When lightning stopped the game in Kosciusko on Monday, the score was 5-5 in the top of the fifth inning.  They finished and the Whippets won that game 6-5, making their record 5-4 overall, and 1-0 in regional play.  They then doubled up, playing the away game immediately after.  The Whippets also won that one, 12-3.

Bailey Powers was named the Autumn Ridge Player of the Game.  Now, that’s something to smile about!

Our next scheduled baseball broadcast is set for Saturday, March 23rd, when the Whippets travel to Choctaw County.  Join us on Breezy 101, the Breezy News app, breezynews.com, or the Boswell Media Sports YouTube sports channel.
