Three juveniles have been charged in connection with two vehicle thefts reported in Kosciusko over the weekend.
A red Kia was taken from Gilliland Street early Saturday morning and an orange Kia was stolen from South Natchez Street early Sunday morning.
According to KPD Investigator Devante Lewis, both vehicles have now been recovered.
The red Kia was located after it was wrecked at the Cannonade Apartments. The orange Kia was recovered in a wooded area off East Jefferson Street.
Three 15-year-olds have been charged with grand larceny in connection with the thefts. Because they are juveniles, their names will not be released.
The mother of two of the juveniles has also been charged with child neglect.
“Parents can and will be held accountable when their children are out after curfew hours committing crimes,” said Chief Greg Collins about the arrest.
