The Kosciusko Whippets hosted the Corinth Warriors Friday night in the third round of the MHSAA Region IV-4A high school playoffs.
The game was scoreless in the first quarter. The Whippets scored early in the second quarter, 8-0. With one of Corinth’s well-known long field goals (48 yards!), the halftime score was 8-3, Whippets.
Kosciusko scored a touchdown in the third quarter, 14-3. And they finish with that as the win. They are now bound for the North State Championship for the first time since 2007!
Nick Sudduth was named the Autumn Ridge Player of the Game. Now, that’s something to smile about!
Next week, the Whippets will travel to Louisville to play the Wildcats for the North State Championship. All Whippets football broadcasts are available on Breezy 103, breezynews.com, the Breezy 103 app, and the Breezy 103 YouTube channel.
