Kosciusko High School standout CJ Sandifer has been named one of Mississippi’s top returning high school running backs heading into the 2026 football season by The Clarion-Ledger.
The newspaper included Sandifer on its preseason watch list and fan poll featuring many of the state’s top rushers from both the MHSAA and MAIS.
Sandifer rushed for 1,440 yards and 21 total touchdowns during the 2025 season and currently holds an offer from Alcorn State.
Fans can vote for who they believe is the state’s top returning running back. Voting is open now and fans may vote once per hour per device through noon Saturday, July 4.
