The community is invited to a special documentary screening this Friday, June 12, as part of opening weekend events celebrating the new L.V. Hull Legacy Center.
The screening of “Love Is a Sensation” will be held at 6:00 p.m. at the Skipworth Performing Arts Center and is free and open to the public. Organizers note that RSVPs are appreciated, though not required.
The one-hour documentary offers an intimate portrait of Kosciusko artist L.V. Hull, described by organizers as an affectionate “home movie” style look at her life, creativity, and lasting impact on the community. The film also highlights Hull’s personal journey, including her effort to present a cherished artwork to blues legend B.B. King.
Following the screening, attendees will have the opportunity to take part in a question-and-answer session with filmmaker Yaphet Smith, who directed the documentary.
The event serves as a lead-in to Saturday’s public opening of the L.V. Hull Legacy Center, which will debut its inaugural exhibition, L.V. Hull: Love Is a Sensation, in downtown Kosciusko.
