On Sunday, May 18, at 7:42 p.m., Attala County Deputies were dispatched to a disturbance involving weapons on West Jefferson Street. A suspect was reported to be wielding both a machete and a knife. The individual fled the scene as deputies arrived.
Deputies returned to the area at 10:16 p.m. and again at 11:23 p.m. following additional calls about the same person. The suspect fled once more during the second visit but was ultimately located and taken into custody during the third response.
