McAdams High School will be well represented at the MHSAA State Track and Field Championships after several athletes earned qualifying spots through strong performances in regional and South State competition.
On the girls’ side, Kaleeyha Brown qualified in the 110-meter hurdles, while Skylar Winters advanced in the 300-meter hurdles.
The Bulldogs’ sprint depth will also be on display in the 400-meter dash, where Kimaria Lewis and Tamila Wise both qualified for state competition.
McAdams will also send a strong 4×200-meter relay team, made up of Tamila Wise, Aniyshia Gladney, Kimaria Lewis, and Taleeyha Brown, who earned their place with a standout qualifying performance.
On the boys’ side, Jamarquse Spivey will compete in both the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes, qualifying in multiple sprint events.
In relay action, McAdams will also compete in the 4×100-meter relay, featuring Jamarquse Spivey, Andre Brown, Marshaun Lowery, and Alonzo Teague.
The McAdams athletes will now prepare to compete at the MHSAA State Track and Field Championships, representing McAdams High School in the Class 1A division alongside other top qualifiers from across the state beginning Monday, May 4 at Pearl High School.
