City offices in Kosciusko will operate on a delayed schedule Monday morning due to lingering winter weather conditions, according to Mayor Tim Kyle.
Kyle said all city personnel — with the exception of fire and police — are scheduled to report to work at 9 a.m. First responders, including fire and police departments, will report for their regular shifts.
“Roads in town appear to be fine, but employees who live in the county could encounter some ice,” Kyle said.
While the city is adjusting its schedule out of an abundance of caution, Attala County offices will remain open and operate on a normal schedule. Attala County Emergency Management Director Danny Townsend confirmed that county offices will be open as usual.
Officials continue to encourage residents and commuters to use caution while traveling, particularly in outlying or rural areas where icy conditions may still be present.
