CARTHAGE, Miss.–One person was killed in a one-car wreck Saturday afternoon in Leake County, confirmed the Leake County Coroner’s Office.
The wreck involved a gold Chevy Impala that turn ed over and caught fire on Hwy. 25 near Wiggins Loop Rd.
The 911 call came in about 3:45 p.m. About ten minutes later Leake County deputies caslled for the coroner’s office.
Leake County DeputyCoroner Michael Harper identified the victim as Quintin DeShawn Ferguson, 31, of Kosciusko.
The exact cause of the wreck is under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
